About
I am a Netherlands-based illustrator and visual artist working across narrative illustration, original artwork, and visual storytelling.
My work begins with emotion. I am interested in feelings that are difficult to put into words, and I use color, imagery, and visual narratives as another way of expressing them.
I work primarily with watercolor, ink, pastel, and mixed media, embracing texture, imperfection, and the unexpected marks that emerge through the process. I am drawn to images that feel intuitive, alive, and emotionally present rather than polished or overly controlled.
Storytelling is at the heart of my practice, particularly storytelling without words. Through color, rhythm, atmosphere, and subtle details, I explore inner worlds, emotion, belonging, and transformation.
Alongside published and commissioned illustration, I develop independent visual narratives and create original works on paper. My practice moves freely between books and standalone artwork, allowing each idea to find the form that suits it best.
I am open to selected illustration and publishing projects, exhibitions, and creative collaborations.
